The Muscular System
3. Give a explanation of what the muscular system does:
The muscular system is responsible for the movement of the human body. Attached to the bones of the skeletal system are about 700 named muscles that make up roughly half of a person's body weight. Each of these muscles is a discrete organ constructed of skeletal muscle tissues, blood vessels, tendons and nerves.
4. List important organs within the system:
- Heart
- Tongue
- Biceps- Triceps
- Gluteus Maximus
- Bones Deltoids
- Tendon
5. Explain what tendons do:
A tendon plays a very important role to our inner structure. The tendons are a fibrous tissues that connects our muscles to our bones which allows us to move. When our muscles contract he force is transmitted to the bone trough the tendons.
