Nervous System

1. Find a diagram and label the important organs of the Nervous System:

The Nervous System

3. Give a explanation of what the nervous system does:
The nervous plays a major role in our bodies, from motor skills to our senses. The nervous system is a highly specialised network of tissues, as well as neurons.

4. List important organs within the system:
- Brain
- Brain Stem
- Spinal Cord
- Neurons

5. Explain what functions of the 4 main lobes of the brain:
Frontal Lobe - Located in front of the central sulcus. Concerned with reasoning, planning, parts of speech and movement, emotions and problem solving.
Parietal Lobe - Located behind the central sulcus. Concerned with perception of stimuli related to touch, pressure, temperature and pain.
Temporal Lobe - Located below the lateral fissure. Concerned with perception and recognition of auditory stimuli (hearing) and memory.
Occipital Lobe - Located at the back of the brain, behind the parietal lobe and temporal lobe. Concerned with many aspects of vision.
